Filing fee is $125. Submit application by mailing or delivering to the Secretary of State's office.
Expedited options included an additional $200 for Same Day filing, if the document is received by 12:00 noon. There is also a 24 hour filing option for an additional $100.


How to Register a Foreign Corporation in North Carolina?

To register as a Foreign Corporation in North Carolina, you will file the Application for Certificate of Authority, Form B-09. The name of the company must include one of the following words or abbreviations: "Corporation," "Company," "Limited," "Incorporated," "Corp," "Co.," "Ltd.," or "Inc."
You must include an original Certificate of Existence from the state of incorporation that is less than six months old.
Filing fee is $250. Submit the application by mailing or delivering to the Secretary of State's office.
Expedited options included an additional $200 for Same Day filing, if the document is received by 12:00 noon. There is also a 24 hour filing option for an additional $100.

If you plan to organize your LLC in North Carolina, you will file Limited Liability Company Articles of Organization, Form L-01.
